Jamie started as Theatre Lawrence’s second ever Executive Director in March 2023. Prior to that he was the Managing Artistic Director for over 25 years at Community Players in Beatrice, NE. Throughout his career he has directed over 130 productions including "Next to Normal," “Les Miserables,” “Noises Off,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” "Sunday in the Park with George," “Proof,” and “Silent Sky.” He has been an adjunct instructor for Doane University and Southeast Community College. He has served on the board of directors for the American Association of Community Theatre, Nebraskans for the Arts, the Beatrice Chamber of Commerce among other organizations. He is currently serving on the board for the newly reformed Association of Kansas Theatre. A native of Sutton, NE, where he grew up on a farm, he is a strong believer in the power of arts to transform individuals and communities.
