Abby Ilardi

Abby Ilardi has been performing most of her life and specializes in devised theatre, having trained with the Pig Iron Theatre Company, one of the country's leading devised theater ensembles. As a performer, her work spans theater, music, and original songwriting. You may have seen her most recently on stage at Theatre Lawrence as Betty in White Christmas. Her teaching style is warm, creative, and trauma-informed: consent-forward, process-focused, and designed to help performers take real creative risks in a supportive room.

What makes Abby's approach distinctive is the lens she brings to the work. In addition to her theater background, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), yoga teacher, and entrepreneur who has spent years leading classes and workshops at the intersection of psychology, embodiment, and creative expression. She created SomaSong — a creativity-and-voice-based approach to nervous system regulation — and runs online programs that help creative professionals get unstuck and make meaningful work again. That deep understanding of how the body holds emotion, how to create environments that support creative risk taking, and how people come alive in creative community is woven into everything she teaches.

She's excited to make original work with you.
